Weed Management

Djunbunji Land and Sea Rangers identify, monitor and control outbreaks of invasive weed species throughout Mandingalbay Yidinji country. Rangers work in conjunction with the Northern Australia Quarantine Strategy (NAQS) to provide an early warning system for exotic pest, weed and disease detections across northern Australia and to help address unique biosecurity risks facing the region.

Fire management, plant removal and chemical application help to control various weeds, including Pond Apple, Sicklepod and Singapore Daisy.
